Richard Lavoie: It's So Much Work to Be Your Friend
In the first broadcast program ever devoted to addressing the social component of learning disabilities, special education expert Rick Lavoie offers practical strategies to help learning-disabled children (and adults) find social success through friendships. The program's intended audience is far-ranging: parents, teachers, school administrators, coaches, caregivers, aunts, uncles, grandparent, babysitters, and friends. It will be a meaningful viewing experience for anyone who interacts with children or adults whose learning disabilities affect their ability to find friendship and fulfillment. As a former Director of two successful residential programs, Rick Lavoie is one of the most respected and sought-after experts in the LD field. He currently teaches at Simmons College, and consults and speaks to an international roster of clients.
