Autism: Oh, the Possibilities
child with puppyThis special focuses on the important social emotional milestones and tracking healthy development; helping to recognize and evaluate whether or not the baby is meeting the milestones. Then, it examines both sides of the literature and dialogue currently available on possible causes and the possible link between vaccines in infancy and Autism. Third, look at an intervention option available to parents and families. Stanley I. Greenspan, M.D. discusses the Developmental, Individual Difference and Relationship-Based (DIR) intervention for children with ASD, plus a mother shares her story with two autistic children. Lastly, the special focuses on a program at Marshall University, that offers a specific program for students with autism to succeed in college.
