Road to Independence
Thanks to the innovative LifeLink program, a group of high-school students with physical, social, or learning disabilities are easing into collegiate life. The students spend their days on the Penn State University campus, gaining critical life skills through interactions with their peers. Follow eight individuals as they take freshman-level classes, interview for jobs and participate in extracurricular activities like ballroom dancing. The program traces the students' difficulties and triumphs as they work toward their ultimate goal - independence.
